Copilot and similar tools are great for productivity in Office, but they aren’t a legal system of record, meaning they won’t enforce your templates, clause fallbacks, or approval gates (like from a Delegation of Authority policy or similar procedures).
With Donna, you can chat with a legal fined-tuned AI agent plus do all the rest – collaborate with your colleagues in one chat along with Donna, track approvals, empower your business teams to self-serve with the guardrails you set, and access your contracts in one spot and pull insights from them (this is known as a contract repository, which is different than a Copilot interface).
What types of contracts do you support?
We support both routine and complex agreements alike. Many organizations find substantial time and cost savings by letting Made It Legal handle the routine work bogging down your Legal Team – NDAs, MSAs, Vendor Agreements. But we can also tackle the big tasks and heavy lifting, including complex agreements (e.g., credit agreements, asset purchases, and more).

We have a talented team of software engineers, developers, and quality assurance technicians. We also have in-house project managers. Working together, we give you successful outcomes. If our pilot project with you doesn’t meet the success criteria, your contract includes an opt-out clause.

Yes. Donna ingests your templates, clause libraries, and playbooks. Or you can start with AI drafting, pre-configured agreement templates, or pre‑loaded playbooks and refine over time.
Can we keep our contract repository where it is?
Keep as‑is or migrate. Donna can act as your system of engagement and system of record, or integrate via imports and exports to your own environment — we make it your call for maximum convenience. We will support Google Workspace and Microsoft OneDrive to start with and more integrations will follow soon.
Can we integrate with our existing tools?
Integrations with OneDrive, Google Drive, and CLM systems are on the roadmap. We would love to work with you to understand your integration needs.
How long does onboarding take?
Most teams are live within 2-4 weeks. We handle template ingestion, configuration, and training and we work at your pace. If something is urgent – a particular use case, contract type, review playbook, etc. – we can prioritize it for you.
What if we need outside counsel support?
Made It Legal plays nice with lawyers, because we were founded by them. We are creating a Lawyer Marketplace that will give you access to professional, experienced counsel from trusted law firms. If you have your own legal counsel, there are no restrictions at all with having them use the documents you create with Donna on Made It Legal.

We understand, completely. Made It Legal is founded by highly experienced lawyers and tech teams. We take an industry-best approach to AI accuracy through:

1. Retrieval Augmented Generation
When you create agreements from your own trusted templates or precedents, or use the templates Made It Legal includes in its library for you, Donna will use template manipulation and clause-level generation first, preserving accuracy and compliance. This is known as “Retrieval Augmented Generation” or simply, RAG. It’s a smart way for AI to combine trusted information with natural language generation.
Instead of relying only on what the AI “knows,” RAG first retrieves relevant documents or data, like your contract templates, clause libraries, or playbooks, and then uses that information to generate accurate, context-aware responses.
How It Works (Simply Put):
- Search First: The system looks up the most relevant content from your approved materials.
- Generate Second: It uses that content to help draft or answer questions, so it’s not guessing, it’s referencing.
- Stay Accurate: Because it pulls from your actual templates and rules, the output stays aligned with your legal standards.

3. Fine tuning
On top of all this, Donna has been fine-tuned to act as a legal agent first and foremost—trained extensively on legal reasoning, terminology, and best practices—so every interaction reflects professional-grade accuracy and reliability. For example, Donna doesn’t need to know how to make pottery, so that part of the Large Language Models (LLMs) we use are switched off for her. But she does need to know how to think like a lawyer and negotiate like a professional, so those parts of the LLMs are switched on, fine tuned, and taught to learn and improve.

Your data – including the contracts you make on Made It Legal – are kept separate from other customers’ data and is visible only to you. We never sell or share your data and you stay in control of it.
Do you use our data to train AI models?
No, we do not use your data to train third-party AI models or for any broad, aggregated purposes.
We use your data only to improve your experience with Made It Legal, for example, to enhance accuracy, track usage patterns, and identify areas where the platform can better support your team. This is done statistically and internally, and always with privacy and confidentiality in mind.
We never use your data to:
